Before carrying out any tuning we first ensure there are no current engine issues by carrying out a full diagnostic check. We believe that driveability and reliability is as important as performance and therefore when you choose to tune with ourselves you can rest assured that your vehicle is in safe hands.
Our maps are proven time and time again as reliable and affective and we are so confident in our maps that we offer a 2-year guarantee on any software malfunctions. Not only that, we will also provide you with a copy of the original manufacturer map so if you at any point want to return the car to its original settings we can reload your original map.
Stage 1 Tuning
Increases power and torque while also improving fuel efficiency. Removes flat spots and gives a more responsive drive without compromising reliability. From £199
Stage 2 Tuning
Bigger increase in power and torque than a stage 1 remap, efficiency will still improve but not as dramatically as a Stage 1 tune. Removes flat spots and gives a more responsive drive without compromising reliability. From £199
Increasingly popular with rising fuel prices, we are able to finely tune your vehicle so that torque is increased allowing you to drive at much lower engine revs at the same torque levels thus giving big improvements in MPG and driveability without compromising reliability. From £199
We use some of the finest tuning equipment available on the market today and this allows us to remap most cars that incorporate an On Board Diagnostic port (OBD). All petrol cars after 2001 and diesel cars after 2003 are fitted with an OBD port, however OBD ports were fitted to many cars before becoming standard. Remapping through the OBD port is the most efficient and non-intrusive tuning method that allows us to yield some truly amazing results without even opening the bonnet. Please search for your car on the vehicle list and contact us with your requirements.
BDM and ChipTuning
Remapping a vehicle through its OBD port is not always possible for a number of reasons, the car may not have an OBD port, the port may be faulty or the port may even be ‘tune protected’. But don’t worry we have the solution. If your vehicle cannot be remapped through the OBD port we can either connect directly to the ECU or replace the chip within the ECU. Connecting direct to the ECU is called BDM (Back Door Module) tuning and replacing the internal chip of an ECU is called ‘chiptuning’, in order to carry out either of theses processes the ECU will have to be removed from the vehicle and tuned in a clean, safe and static free environment. Therefore if your vehicle requires BDM or ChipTuning we have two ways to carry out the work:
- you can drop your car off at our premises and we will remove the ecu and it will be sent to our software engineer for the work to be carried out
- Post & Tune – Post us your ECU, we will carry out the delicate tuning and send it straight back to you!
Post & Tune & Vehicle Drop Off can take approximately 3 – 5 days to complete.

What a joy to find a Garage that truly understands customer service. I had a diagnostic check done at a Citroen franchise dealer who issued a report saying that it would cost well over the value of the car to fix the list of issues. I found Simon on the internet and following a couple of days intelligent analysis of the problems, he found that there was little wrong with the car that a re-boot of the ECU couldn't cure. Simon patiently explained the issues, gave me alternatives and involved me in the analysis. The result was a fix that cost a fraction of the Citroen quote (which wouldn't have solved the problem anyway as it turned out). I am one happy customer - cannot recommend Simon Dean Motors highly enough they are honest and want to fix the problem for you, rather than just maximising the revenue they can get out of customers for unnecessary work. Brilliant!!!

From start to finish I was kept up to date what was being done to my car and also explained to me why my car was faulty and what needed to be done to get it working safely, again Absolutely great. The young man who repaired my car and phoned me several times to keep me up dated was named Ashley Shaw. It makes a change to be dealt with so efficiently.Mrs Middlemore 27/11/2014
